Our Awesome Story

DarkChild is a 100% black-owned and controlled company operating out of Joburg Expo Centre in Nasrec, Johannesburg.  The company has been operating since 2004 with expertise in various sectors including events, marketing, distribution, sales and merchandising.  Although our skill set cuts across all marketing disciplines, we took the decision to focus on traditional and informal markets.  According to a document called South Africa’s not so Traditional, Traditional Trade released by Nielsen Pty Ltd – a global performance management company that provides a comprehensive understanding of what consumers watch and buy – traditional trade accounts for R46bil, which equates to one of every five rand spent and one-third of all consumer goods packages sold in South Africa.  Our understanding of this market and its nuances can help your brand grow to become the dominant brand among the majority of South African consumers.
